“FLYING” HIGH VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN

In the US, a high school diploma is enough to be an electrician. But if you want to work with high voltage power lines, you need a specific degree. That's because the work, in this case, is way more radical and dangerous. It consists of getting out of a helicopter and balancing on a high voltage cable with voltages that reach 1,000 kV. Believe it or not, but flying to maintain power lines is less stressful for the worker and more efficient than climbing poles.
