The Maiden Voyage
That’s what they call the first sail of a ship. They took off from Southampton, England on April 10, 1912. There were 2,200 passengers and staff. Unfortunately, only five days after takeoff, they hit the infamous iceberg, which slashed the side so profoundly that it only took three hours for the ship to sink. Around 1,500 people died.
