Netflix Confirms 'Emily in Paris' Will End After Season Six

Netflix announced on May 21, 2026, that "Emily in Paris" would officially conclude with its sixth season, which has already begun production in Greece.

Lily Collins, who stars as the ambitious American expat, shared the news in a video message posted online and described the upcoming episodes as the "final chapter" in Emily Cooper's journey.

Reflecting on her time with the series, the actress told fans that the final season would include everything viewers have come to love about the show while delivering a fitting conclusion to Emily's story. The actress added:

"Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we're now filming. I can't wait for all the magic ahead and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet. We're so incredibly grateful and we love you all, à bientôt!"

Creator Darren Star echoed those sentiments in a statement released alongside the announcement. He called working on the series "the trip of a lifetime" and expressed gratitude to Netflix, Paramount, the cast, crew, and longtime viewers who embraced the show's romanticized vision of Parisian life.

Star also hinted that the creative team is determined to give the series a memorable sendoff as production moves across several luxurious European locations before ultimately returning to Paris.

A Final European Adventure Awaits

Season six is set to begin in Greece before moving to Monaco and eventually returning to Paris — a fitting backdrop for the show that built much of its identity around fashion, travel, and fantasy escapism.

Netflix also released behind-the-scenes footage featuring Collins and much of the ensemble cast, including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and William Abadie.

The upcoming season will continue the storylines established during season five, which followed Emily as she attempted to balance her professional ambitions and complicated love life while spending time in Rome.
