Frankie Grande Shows Sister Ariana Grande Support After Hiatus Announcement

The Grande siblings' bond was on full display as the pop star closed out a milestone chapter of her career. Frankie made sure the moment didn't pass without a public show of support.

The actor and musician turned to Instagram on Friday, August 7, to celebrate Ariana Grande following her announcement that she'll be pulling back from public life once her Eternal Sunshine Tour comes to a close next month.

"Family forever," Frankie began, sharing a clip of Ariana performing her 2014 hit "One Last Time" during her Chicago stop the night before. "I will have your back until the end of time. I am so proud of you and so happy for you."

He didn't stop there.

"Last night was a beautiful celebration of your artistry and the magnificent eternal sunshine family you have built and created," he continued. "It was a magical night. You are magical. You are my everything and I am so so happy I was there to see you shine on this tour one last time."

The video also captured a tender family moment, with Frankie watching Ariana, 33, perform in awe while their mother, Joan Grande, 69, leaned her head on his shoulder.

Not long after the curtain fell, the "Thank You, Next" singer posted her own tribute marking the end of her tour's North American run. Ariana launched the leg on June 6 in Oakland, California, and brought it full circle with her Chicago performance on August 6.

"I love you," she wrote. "I cannot believe that this concludes the north american leg of the eternal sunshine tour." She went on to reflect on the emotional weight of the milestone.

"I am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude. Thank you endlessly for the most special, beautiful, joyful and deeply fulfilling few months. I will cherish every moment of this time with you all & these memories forever," she added.

Ariana wrapped up her message with a nod to what's next, writing, "Thank you, Chicago … London, I cannot wait to see you soon. I love you all more than ever."

Her announcement about stepping back from the public eye came on August 2, just days after she released her buzzed-about "Petal" music video.

A representative for the singer addressed the decision in a statement, explaining that she would be taking a step back from visibility once the tour wrapped.

"She looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny," the rep said.

The statement also emphasized how meaningful the tour has been for the star. "This tour has been a beautiful experience for her. She loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much," the rep noted.

A source close to Grande echoed that sentiment, pointing to the physical demands of her performances.

"She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved. She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night," the insider shared.

Ariana's decision to retreat from the spotlight follows growing concern from fans over her noticeably slimmer appearance in the "Petal" music video, a topic that has stirred heated debate online.

While plenty of supporters have rushed to her defense, others have argued the conversation isn't necessarily about body-shaming — but about genuine concern for her health and well-being.

Addressing the chatter head-on, Ariana assured fans that her decision to step back wasn't made in the heat of the moment. Rather, she explained, it was something she'd been planning well before she went public with the news.
