The Emmy-winning actress told PEOPLE that fans frequently repeat a moment from “The Jacksons: An American Dream,” the 1992 television miniseries based on the famous musical family.

“You may hear, ‘Go to bed, Joseph! Go to bed!’ ” Bassett said while recalling the reaction she still gets from viewers.
