Meghan Markle celebrated Prince Archie’s seventh birthday with a rare personal tribute on Instagram, sharing a throwback image showing his face as a baby alongside a newer photo featuring Archie and Princess Lilibet together on the beach.

Meghan Markle marked her son Archie’s seventh birthday with a heartfelt social media post that included a rare glimpse of the young royal’s face. The Duchess of Sussex shared two family photos and a brief message celebrating her eldest child on May 6.

“7 years later,” Meghan wrote on Instagram. “Happy birthday to our sweet boy.”

The birthday tribute included a throwback image from Archie’s infancy and another recent photo featuring Archie with his younger sister, Princess Lilibet.

The first image in Meghan’s post captured Archie as a newborn lying under a blanket on Prince Harry’s chest. Harry appeared to gaze down affectionately at his son in the intimate family moment.

The image stood out because Meghan and Harry have generally limited how much of their children’s faces are shown publicly since stepping back from royal duties and relocating to California.

The second photo showed Archie and Lilibet walking together on a beach. In the image, the siblings held hands while facing away from the camera, with Archie carrying a stick as they walked near the shoreline.

Lilibet recently turned 4.

Meghan Has Spoken Openly About Motherhood and Parenting

Since becoming a mother, Meghan has frequently discussed how parenting has shaped both her personal outlook and professional decisions.

In a November interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the “As Ever” founder reflected on lessons she has learned from raising Archie and Lilibet.

“I’m a mom with kids at that age where they are constantly learning something new. I watch them face things that feel completely insurmountable every day,” Meghan said. “But you can remember and say, ‘I know it seems really hard right now, but trust me, that’s going to come so easily soon.’”

She added, “I can give myself the same grace as a founder. There’s no such thing as perfect.”

The duchess also explained that motherhood has influenced the way she approaches her entrepreneurial projects.

Through her work, Meghan said she hopes to demonstrate resilience and confidence to her children.

“I hope they see the value of being brave,” she shared. “When you’re young, I think you are a little bit more fearless. As we get older, we lose some of that.”

The comments came as Meghan continued expanding her business ventures following the couple’s move to California.

She has frequently balanced conversations about work with reflections on parenting and family life.

Prince Harry Has Been a Major Source of Support

During the same interview, Meghan praised Prince Harry for supporting her through both public and private challenges.

“He loves me so boldly, fully,” she said of her husband of nearly eight years, “and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t.”

“No one in the world loves me more than him,” Meghan added, “so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back.”

The couple married in 2018 and later stepped back from senior royal duties before relocating to the United States.

Since settling in California, they have focused on building a private family life away from the intense scrutiny they experienced while living in the United Kingdom.

Archie was born in May 2019 while Meghan and Harry were still working members of the Royal Family.
