Guests turned up in coordinated white ensembles for one of summer's most exclusive gatherings. The timing raised eyebrows given what was happening in New York City just 48 hours later.

Michael Rubin hosted the fifth White Party on July 1, and the star-studded event once again drew Hollywood's who's who, all dressed to the nines. The coveted celebration took place at Rubin's Hamptons estate.

It came just two days before Madison Square Garden hosted Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding. Although the pop megastar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end had kept most details surrounding the nuptials under wraps, the date had leaked months earlier.

Rubin is known for hosting the White Party on the Fourth of July, but he moved the date this year — a decision he addressed directly.

"We were debating the dates. We were certainly aware of that date, but we didn't change it because of that date," Rubin, 53, said, two weeks before Swift and Kelce's nuptials. "But we were aware of that date and we didn't want to have people have to choose."

The Fanatics founder and CEO added that regardless of timing, celebrities would still show up in force. "People come to the White Party no matter when we do it... The White Party is going to be spectacular," he said. And indeed, they did.
