Meyers has added even more star power to her upcoming Warner Bros. comedy with the additions of Martin as well as Tony Hale and Beverly D'Angelo.
The untitled film, which remains largely under wraps, has already attracted attention thanks to its high-profile cast and Meyers' long-awaited return to directing. Previously announced stars include Penélope Cruz, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Kieran Culkin, and Erin Doherty.

While details about the characters and overall plot have not yet been revealed, the project has reportedly been described as semi-autobiographical for Meyers. In a 2023 Instagram post, the filmmaker said the story centers on "a group of people making a film and the magic and mystery of what we do."

While Martin acknowledged inheriting a love of music from her father, the Coldplay singer-songwriter, she revealed that performing solo as a singer never felt like the right fit.

The movie marks Meyers' first film as director since 2015's "The Intern." She also wrote the screenplay and is producing alongside Ilona Herzberg, while Diana Pokorny and Paula Case serve as executive producers. The film is currently scheduled for release on December 25, 2027.
For Martin, the role represents a notable shift toward acting after previously building a presence in fashion and modeling. She has appeared in campaigns for brands including Gap and Chloé and worked with luxury fashion houses such as Chanel and Self-Portrait.

Her acting debut comes shortly after graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in law, history, and society. Before landing the role in Meyers' film, Martin had only briefly appeared onscreen in an episode of HBO's "Rooster."
Still, acting has increasingly become the direction she wants to pursue. In an interview with Vogue published earlier this year, the 22-year-old admitted she had moved beyond what she described as a "rebellious 'I don't wanna be like my parents' type of phase."

While Martin acknowledged inheriting a love of music from her father, the Coldplay singer-songwriter, she revealed that performing solo as a singer never felt like the right fit.
"I don't wanna be a singer," Martin told the outlet, despite saying she enjoys singing. "I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying." Instead, she said acting had become her primary ambition. The 22-year-old added:
"I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act."
Now, that dream is taking shape under the direction of one of Hollywood's most recognizable rom-com filmmakers — and with a cast packed with award winners and established stars, Martin's first major screen role is arriving with considerable attention already surrounding it.
